Holly is a seasoned corporate professional with extensive experience across the financial, technology, and dating industries. Driven by her passion for matchmaking, she began pioneering a “love IQ” approach in South Africa as early as 2003.

At that time, many professional singles she knew were reluctant to use the major dating services. They wanted assurance that whoever they met had been personally interviewed and “quality checked”—a task Holly took on herself, often working late into the night to manually approve profiles.

After building Dating Exclusively into a thriving success, Holly felt the need for a new direction and transitioned back into the corporate world, where she carved out a successful career in a predominantly male-dominated sector.

However, as the success of Dating Exclusively, her in-person matchmaking service, continued, Holly noticed a gap in the market for a local dating platform to compete with the rapidly growing international apps. These apps, while popular, focused on quick, casual connections with minimal vetting—leaving room for bad actors to exploit those seeking genuine love.

The need for a safer, more authentic dating experience became even clearer during the COVID-19 pandemic. With encouragement from many of the people she had successfully matched over the years, Holly decided to bring her two decades of dating expertise back into the spotlight. And so, Meton was born—a dating service designed to rival popular apps in functionality, but with a crucial difference: instead of relying on algorithms, real people carefully review each profile to ensure quality and integrity.
