We’ve made the signup process easy, and if you’ve chosen our Gold or Platinum subscriptions, you’ll have more than a few fields to fill in! This helps us build a complete profile of who you are, what you like, and what you’re looking for in a future love interest. No other dating app provides the high level of detailed match-making Meton can offer.

We use your profile, location and preferences to serve you potential matches
Meton uses your profile, preference list, and geographic location to serve up suitable matches in your area. Don’t worry, they can’t see where you live. The most important match-making involves your desired characteristics in a partner, so the more specific you are when completing your profile, the better your matches will be.

Swipe right on your favourites and start getting to know each other
Once we’ve served up some hotties into your feed, all it takes is a right swipe for “yeah” and left swipe for “nah”. All your right swipes are then saved to your inbox, based on how well you two match. You can then see the fields they filled in (depending on their Meton subscription), and even connect with them immediately if you’d like.

Once you have successfully matched with someone on Meton, you can initiate a private chat.
We never display any private information of our users (check our privacy policy and terms of use). We only display your fields of preference and your first name. Your surname, email, and ID are not displayed.
Meton is currently by South Africans, for South Africans. We do have plans to take the brand international sometime in the future.
Our primary focus is on the safety of our users, and we believe that our many fields of preference build stronger candidate profiles which leads to more successful matches.
We recommend getting to know your Meton matches for at least 4 – 7 days on the app before arranging to meet in person.
With the Platinum Meton subscription you gain access to each candidate’s FULL profile. Meton Black subscription limits you to four fields, and Meton Gold lets you browse eight candidate fields.
